Zion’s Way Home Health and Hospice has successfully met the full accreditation requirements for JCAHO, “The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations”!
The JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval is only given to health care organizations that exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement, and who deliver safe, high quality care.
Accreditation through JCAHO is an honor that demonstrates all processes and procedures conform to National Standards of Quality Health Care and Hospice. As part of the accreditation process, Zion’s Way Home Health and Hospice has attained compliance with the National Patient Safety Goals.
Before accreditation through JCAHO could be procured, a rigorous review of all of the programs at Zion’s Way was required. The professionals at Zion’s Way Home Health and Hospice demonstrated high levels of expertise and received positive comments on their continuous efforts to ensure the development and maintenance of Zion’s Way high caliber programs.
Zion’s Way Home Health and Hospice is Southwest Utah’s only non-corporate, locally owned Home Health and Hospice agency. Zion’s Way delivers excellent and compassionate care to people who need help in their homes, as well as those facing end of life.
In addition to physical health care, comforting alternative and complimentary therapies are also provided by Zion’s Way. The Zion’s Way team consists of experienced and knowledgeable local medical directors, physical therapists, nurses, social workers, chaplains, educators, alternative and complimentary care providers, and bereavement counselors. The Zion’s Way philosophy encompasses helping the whole person: physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Shirley Bagby, Zion’s Way CEO, is very pleased with the JCAHO accreditation. She is also thrilled that her team was able to demonstrate such exemplary health care.
