There Is More To It Than Just A Hearing Device… Addressing Individual Needs

Issue 30.11

All too often the hearing care industry focuses too much attention on selling the newest product available rather than identifying and addressing the needs of people.  This approach can be seen by looking at the number of hearing devices that have been purchased, improperly fit, and not maintained; resulting in the high percentage of hearing devices sitting in drawers and not being worn, as well as millions of people who could benefit from a boost but are hesitant to take the next step.

After 29 years here in St. George and as a Nationally Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist I have learned a lot about people, the industry, and even myself.  This knowledge has influenced the way I run my business and the approach that my partner (and son) Eric W. Nilsson and I have taken in order to best serve those in our community who may need a boost in their ability to understand and hear more clearly.

With that in mind, I am pleased to announce a NEW OFFERING at Nilsson Hearing Center called Listening Enhancement.  Listening Enhancement is a relatively new approach to help individuals enhance their listening skills which can help compensate for situations where they may struggle to hear as adequately as they would like.  This training should be used by individuals without hearing devices who “hear” but don’t quite “understand” as well as they would like.  Or, by individuals who have purchased hearing devices in the past but still want another 40% boost!

Although we “hear” in our ears; we “listen” in our brain.  With our Listening Enhancement program you can improve your listening skills by up to 40% within 20 days of training with an interactive computerized training program designed for use at our office and/or in the comfort of your own home.
