Once upon a time a long time ago, a store called Country Comforts Furniture, was in Las Vegas on Sahara and Charleston both.
A unique store selling only real wood, finished and unfinished furniture and a variety of American made sofas, custom florals and home accent pieces not found in other furniture stores.
As the owner I noticed a great many of my customers were coming from Southern Utah. Interesting I thought! One week end I was invited to St. George, I looked around at all the furniture stores in town, like most business owners it’s always good to see what’s to be learned from other people in the same business. What I found was St. George did not need another furniture store they had plenty, what they did need was a store that sold quality real wood products and sales people who would tell the truth about the product they were selling. In other words not call (MDF) or particle board a real wood product if it was only 10% real.
Salesmen with limited knowledge of what they were selling, if it was cherry color were calling it Cherry wood, a walnut color, Walnut wood, no wonder they were coming to my store in Las Vegas, they were tired of the lies and garbage throw away furniture.
I came back to St. George several times and loved the people and the town, so 15 years ago I brought Country Comforts Furniture to Washington City. Two and one half years ago we changed the name to Comfort Designed Furniture because people thought we only sold Country furniture.
We have contemporary South West, traditional and something for everyone. Yes real wood you can count on. We also have many sofas, quality made in USA.
Since we have unfinished furniture, we finish it or you can, finished your way! We also offer furniture repair and re-finishing. Recently we have started to offer Consignment too but it has to be Quality.
From the outside you may think our store looks small but we have two floors with a total of 15,000sq.ft. so it’s really very large. You will be delighted to find the quality and the unique selection we have to offer here in your own town, all discounted just for you.
Just as I found St. George to be “a little slice of heaven”, you’re going to find a little slice of heaven in our store. We care about what we sell you and about your purchase after the sale, because we believe you deserve the very best and we will bring it to you.
