Doing Care Differently… Spring Gardens Welcomes A New Care Manager

Issue 35.13

Spring Gardens Senior Living, St. George’s newest senior living community, is proud to introduce their new Care Manager, Marci Nell.

Marci’s love of caring for people is why she is a Nurse today. She loves Spring Gardens’ philosophy on Whole person wellness, which emphasizes five core areas: Spiritual*Physical*Intellectual* Cultural* Emotional. It’s the S.P.I.C.E that makes Spring Gardens special. Everything we do is geared toward adding these elements to the lives of our incredible residents.

Marci’s education, experience, and background are among her great assets.  She studied Pre-Nursing at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, excelling academically and making the Dean’s list.  She then attended Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, graduating with an Associate Degree with Honors in Nursing.

Nursing is her love and passion and she can’t imagine doing anything else. In Marci’s 18 years as a Registered Nurse she has worked at the U of U Hospital in the ICU & neurological patient care, Central Valley Medical Center, and Sanpete Valley hospital. She has also worked at Dixie Regional Medical Center in post-surgery orthopedic and at Sweetwater Health Education as the head instructor emphasizing the education of holistic care and Alzheimer/Dementia disease. Marci has also worked as the Nurse Care manager for 2 different home health & hospice agencies.

Marci grew up in Sandy, Utah and has been married to the love of her life, Chad Nell, for 19 years and they have 3 amazing children. Marci and her family love to travel, hike and water ski.  One of Marci’s favorite quotes, “Life is not how many breaths you take, but how many moments take your breath away.”

When asked, “What is your favorite thing about Spring Gardens so far?” Marci said, “It’s a happy place, you can just feel the peace and serenity here.” Marci’s focus is on exceptional care and she delivers it with quality trained staff and extraordinary amounts of compassion for Spring Gardens Residents, their family, and staff alike.

Marci feels very blessed to be a part of Spring Gardens and to be able to contribute to the Amazing feeling that sets Spring Gardens apart!
