Serenity Funeral Home and the Olympic Spirit

Issue 34.16

For the past few weeks, we have had the opportunity to look away from scenes of racial division and political drama and instead focus our attention on the Olympic Games in Rio.  Athletes from around the world have gathered to compete with the indomitable Olympic spirit that began in Greece in 776 B.C.  This competitive spirit has inspired man to strive for excellence, to do better, to reach father, and to excel to great heights.

Serenity Funeral Home has an associate that has been involved with many summer and winter Olympics.  This special friend has infused Serenity with a competitive Olympic spirit and has inspired the company to strive for excellence.  Serenity does not belittle any competitor; for, like the Olympic athletes, we have all come together to become the very best we can be.  Organizations must define excellence for themselves.  President John F. Kennedy once made a statement which defines our goals:  “The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it, and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.”  Serenity Funeral Home thus invites the people of southern Utah to examine every aspect of its personalized service, low prices, and caring environment.

In closing, our Olympic associate, who also served in a government position under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, echoes one of President Eisenhower’s famous quotes, which defines Serenity’s mission and dedication to the community:  “May we pursue that which is right – without self-righteousness.  May we know unity – without conformity.  May we grow in strength – without pride of self.  May we, in our dealings with all peoples of the earth, ever speak truth and serve justice….May the light of freedom, coming to all darkened lands, flame brightly – until at last the darkness is no more.”

Please visit us today to feel of our Olympic spirit and pick up your copy of a free preplanning guide.  Serenity Funeral Home is always full service, never full price.  We are located just off Riverside Dr. at 1316 S. 400 E., St. George, UT (435) 986-2085, or visit us online at www.serenityStG.com.
