Reducing Stress For The Holidays – And Beyond

Issue 49.16

I love the holidays at the end of the year.  They’re a great opportunity to get together with family and friends to celebrate beliefs and traditions or to just have fun eating together or watching your favorite football game.  The holidays are a time of thankfulness, giving and renewal as the new year rolls in.  Unfortunately, for many people, the holidays can be a time of intense stress.  This happens for a variety of reasons: too much to do, health concerns, loneliness, loss of loved ones, and many, many more.

Financial stress can also be a big factor for many during the holiday season, particularly for seniors.   But it doesn’t have to be.  Seniors worried about your financial future have options to help reduce your stress, regardless of the time of year.

Recently, a client closed on a reverse mortgage to pay off not only her existing mortgage, and her revolving credit card debt.  While visiting with her after the closing, she expressed her gratitude and said: “I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have this done.   I can sleep peacefully again for the first time in weeks.  Now I can really enjoy the holidays instead of dread them.”

Helping people get out of financial problems is the best part of being a reverse mortgage broker.  It’s exciting to see the stress just melt away from people at the closing table when they realize that they never have to make another mortgage payment for the rest of their lives.  What a relief!

If you can’t enjoy the holidays because you are stressed about your financial future, you should call immediately to find out what your options are.  Whether you want to eliminate a mortgage payment, pay off those pesky credit card and medical bills or just increase your monthly cash flow, in most cases I can help.  You can reach me by calling my office number 435-772-8155 during business hours or my cell phone 435-669-0009 after hours and on weekends.
