Senior Week November 7th-12th

Issue 44.11

The concept of Senior Week is to give a fun week to our readers and raise money for our Veterans’ Nursing Home in Ivins, but there are only 6 days to go and I am beginning to get very worried as to the outcome as we are not getting a lot of response from you our readers.
I know many of you are Michael Ballam fans and many are James O’neil Miner fans, so I organized for them to be judges of our Senior Talent Contest and then to do a Special Concert for you, thinking these would be entertainers you would like to see in a concert and would also draw the crowds to raise money for the Veterans. To date we have sold 12 tickets; I can only think it must be the price although this was the price recommended to me, so we are giving you a Coupon for $5 off each ticket, you must take the coupon with you to the Cox Theater Box office when you go to buy your tickets to receive your $5 discount.
The Benefit concert has sold a few more tickets but not many, so we are also giving a $5 discount coupon of each ticket for this show. We hope this will encourage you to act quickly and get your tickets for these great shows. They are on next Monday and Tuesday at 7:30pm, you can see the ads for these two shows on page 11 and 14 of this paper.
We also have 2 other evening events that some of you may enjoy. One is on Wednesday evening, a BBQ and Country Night with dancing to Classic Country, see the Ad on page 18; and a Gala Ball with dancing to the big band sound of the Mick Jones Band on Saturday evening, see the ad on page15. There are also companion discount coupons off these 2 events.
On Friday and Saturday we have an Expo, Craft Fair and Health Screenings by IHC. The screenings they will be doing are Oximetry (oxygenation of the blood), Blood Pressure, and Body Composition, these are free.

There is also Cholesterol & Glucose screening which will have a $5 charge per person (one finger stick for 2 tests with immediate results). Nilsson Hearing will be doing a free hearing screening.
Saturday is the Big Car and Motorcycle Show.  See ad on page 22.
Check out the Calendar of Events for Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday on the center pages; these are days you can come from 10am-5pm enjoy all the interesting classes, entertainment, free prize bingo, learn to Line Dance or Zumba and socialize and make new friends, and if daily or weekly passes are booked by Nov.6th online, you also receive a free lunch each day.
All tickets except the Cox Shows can be bought online at www.seniorsampler.com or from the Senior Sampler Office 581 E. 100 s. St. George.  We hope to see you there.
