This Article Is For Women… It’s YOUR Money

Women often have special needs in caring for their money and other financial resources.

Our mothers and grandmothers rarely knew about, or were involved in, the family finances.  Some shocking realities arose when their husbands died first, which was, and still is, 90% likely.

Modern women have an advantage, if we choose to exercise it, in the careful planning of accumulating and disbursing our financial resources.  With a little help, we can start, at any time in our life, to take part.

Human nature, for some reason, dictates that we must avoid or procrastinate some important issues in life, such as knowledge of our financial affairs, and a careful consideration in handling of them.

I’ll be the first to admit that, as a woman with many other commitments and interests, financial planning could be confusing. That is why professionals can help.

We all have busy lives, pursuing our careers, and we cannot be versed in all areas.  We look to other specialists for help when needed.

Just as with your physician or clergyman, a relationship of trust must exist between you and your financial counselor or helper.

Some questions you may have, or some info you must give, in order for the consultant to make some really critical recommendations.

Sometimes just a little more information and some simple action will help you avoid taxes, or scammers, or major financial mistakes, thereby preserving your money for you and your children.

Other important areas that may concern you:

·         Medicare and MEDICAID

·         Avoiding scams

·         Identity Theft and legal problems

·         Nursing care and assisted living

·         Legacy money for your family, charities, missions

·         Protecting against undue loss of money in taxes or costs and fees.

We do not charge for a consultation.  We meet in the privacy of your own home, or in our St George Office.

No matter what your financial situation, start addressing it today.

Catherine and Tony Jensen are retirement financial consultants in St George and all of Utah and Idaho and can be contacted at 435-628-1493.
