The Truth About “Teeth-In-A-Day”

Issue 43.12

For decades replacing missing teeth with dental implants all in a single day has been routine for prosthodontic specialists, but recently big corporation marketing campaigns have popularized this approach and called it “Teeth-In-A-Day”.  So, can you really go from hopeless teeth or no teeth to permanent implant teeth all in one day?  Amazingly, the answer is—YES.  But here is the essence of the fine print:

Additional planning time is required before that day.

A day is a long time.

The teeth you get on that day are designed to last only 4-24 months.

The treatment is only predictable under certain circumstances.

The treatment may not be the type of treatment that is best for your situation.

Even with all that said, the benefits are incredible.  To go from hopeless teeth or loose dentures to permanent implant teeth all in a single day—imagine what would that do for you?

As southern Utah’s only ADA recognized specialist in treating patients with missing and damaged teeth (a prosthodontist), Dr Andrus is uniquely qualified to help you. He can be reached at 435-674-3100.
