Knee Replacement Surgery Free Educational Seminar

Issue 49.12

The first total knee replacement surgery was performed over 35 years ago and it has now become one of the most successful surgical procedures.  Years ago, the majority of knee surgeries were reserved for older seniors severely affected by osteoarthritis.  Now, younger patients that are experiencing early onset of osteoarthritis and other injuries are also opting for the procedure.

According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the total number of knee replacements performed each year has increased to nearly 600,000 per year and in 10 years there may be over 3.2 million knee replacement surgeries performed each year.

Dr. Michael Anderson, M.D. is one of St. George’s most well-respected Orthopedic Surgeons who performs knee replacement surgery.  He will be sharing his expertise and conducting a free interactive seminar focusing on every aspect of the surgery.  If you are a candidate for surgery and are searching for more information or if you have already had this surgery and have more questions, then you should attend this seminar.  Knee pain and loss of function can become severely debilitating.  Come learn every aspect of the surgery, post-operative care, and continued long term recovery.

Knees are replaceable but time lost missing out on living your life isn’t.

This seminar on knee replacement surgery will be conducted at 6:30PM on Tuesday, December 11th at the BeeHive Cottages Community Center — located at 2041 S. Mesa Palms Drive off Tonaquint Drive.  Light refreshments will be served and seating is limited.  Please call 773-7966 for reservations and directions.  This seminar is part of our continuing educational series sponsored by Advanced Physical Therapy and BeeHive Cottages.

As an added highlight, Dr. Anderson – an avid and well-known photographer – will also be sharing photographs and personal stories from his recent excursion to Antarctica.
