Two Premier Audiology Practices Join Forces

Issue 12.12

The start of a new year seems to always bring changes and this year was no exception for us.  Many of you may have already heard about the changes but for those that haven’t let me tell you.  On the 1st of January 2012 the two premier audiology practices in central and southern Utah joined forces and we couldn’t be more excited.  In other words, Advanced Hearing and Balance Specialists and Intermountain Hearing Clinics have merged.

So you are probably asking yourself……”Self, how does this merger affect me?”  Let me tell you.  It allows us to better serve your hearing and balance disorders (after all, we are the hearing and balance specialists).  With this merger there are more audiologists working for you and more clinic locations in which you are able to be seen.

Let’s say that you are in Delta and you need to see an audiologist because your hearing has gotten worse.  You are in luck because Dr. Eric L. Maxwell helps patients in Delta.  Or you live in Mesquite and have episodes of dizziness.   Again, you are in luck because Dr. Lance Greer and Dr. Natalie Johnson help patients in Mesquite.  Or you are planning on attending the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City and your hearing instruments aren’t properly working or you need batteries.  Once again, you are in luck because we have the ONLY audiology practice in Cedar City that is open Monday thru Friday from 9-5 to help you.  These examples could go on and on but you get the idea.

In fact, here are the locations where we currently help patients: St. George, Cedar City, Mesquite, Hurricane, Beaver, Panguitch, Milford, Delta, and Fillmore.  The list of audiologists is also impressive:  Kimball Forbes, MCD;  Lance Greer, Au.D.;  Eric Maxwell, Au.D.;  Natalie Johnson, Au.D.;  and Nicole Choules, Au.D.   A few of the services that we provide are medical hearing exams, balance testing, hearing instruments, tinnitus exams, assistive listening devices and much, much more.

What I can guarantee is that at each clinic there is an experienced, knowledgeable, and most importantly….. a caring audiologist that is there to help you with your hearing and balance needs. Advanced Hearing & Balance Specialists has been the region leader in hearing and balance care and the only contracting provider of hearing services at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George for the past 27 years.  It offers a professional approach to hearing care with solutions tailored to the individual needs of each patient.  Services include diagnostic medical hearing exams and hearing instruments, hearing aid repairs, custom Ipod and swim molds, custom hearing protection, musician plugs and monitors, and industrial testing.  Testing and treatment for balance, dizziness, and tinnitus problems are also available

Eric Maxwell can be contacted at Advanced Hearing & Balance Specialists 435-216-5077.
