Introducing The Ted Warthen Center For Assisted Living

rick-kris-saulsIssue 17.11

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves, Rick and Kris Sauls, we are the owners of the Assisted Living Level II located at the Ted Warthen Center in St George UT.  Kris is the full time Administrator of the facility overseeing HR, Resident liaison, and the day to day operations.  Rick is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years experience in the medical field including OR, ER and 15 years in home care and hospice in both Northern and here in Southern Utah for the past eight years.

HISTORY:  In 2007, we approached the board of directors of the Ted Warthen Center for the terminally ill to lease the building and to run the center as an Assisted Living Level 2.  In 2008 we re-licensed the building as an assisted living center level 2.  In April of 2008 we opened our doors as The Ted Warthen Center for Assisted Living.  In respect to Ted Warthen, who was a prominent business man in St George and Las Vegas, we decided to keep his name ‘Ted Warthen Center’ to carry on his legacy.

There have been some misconceptions in the community that we only help the terminally ill, as in the past.  Since 2008 we have been operating as an assisted living center, level 2.  You may ask what a level 2 is, this means that our residents can live with us from a range of being independent and driving with some assistance needed to having multiple needs of assistance.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Rick at 435 313-4823 or Kris at 435 313-4825.

Look for our future articles regarding assisted living that will help educate the community on what to look for in an assisted living center, the process in comparing apples to apples, how to transition, and  what to expect during the transition period.

Are you the Rick and Kris Sauls that attended Financial Peace University with me at Woods Cross High School in April 2003? I am looking for success stories to celebrate the upcoming 10 year anniversary of FPU in Utah.

Since that very first Utah class we have supported more than 1,200 classes attended by nearly 40,000 people. Nationwide nearly 2 million people have gone through the program.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to help out by sharing your story with the media.
