Show Cars Needed For Senior Week Show and Shine 2011

Issue 39.11

The Senior Week Show and Shine 2011will take place Saturday November 12th, 10am-4pm at the park next to Washington Community Center. It is an opportunity for enthusiasts to shine up their special vehicles and present them to each other and to the public. With an estimated 100 car attendance, the show will be just large enough to dazzle spectators and just small enough for spectators to have time to interact with vehicle owners and learn about their automotive accomplishments.

This fun and relaxing environment will play host to some friendly competitions among the participants. There will be awards given for various categories of judging by the spectators and fellow enthusiasts. The top honor and bragging rights will go to the overall Grand Champion, which will be decided by the spectators.

Vehicles will be organized by club and category. This will be an open show that all types of show cars, show trucks, and show motorcycles can enter. Whether vehicles are antique or brand new, foreign or domestic, built low or jacked up high, all types of show vehicles are invited to participate. There will also be a custom motorcycle category to give further variety to the show.

Attendance is anticipated to be good for the Show and Shine. There will be an Expo and Craft fair taking place at the same time at the Washington Community Center. Spectators will be able to shuttle between the Community Center and the Park where the Show and Shine will take place. There will also be an anticipated 10 food vendors at the Show and Shine of different types. Children 14 and younger will get into the Show and Shine free of charge. Adults 15 and older can purchase tickets to the Show and Shine alone or at a reduced price if purchasing a day ticket to attend the events being held in the Community Center along with the Expo and Craft Fair. Proceeds will be donated to the New Veteran’s Nursing Home being built in Ivins.

Vehicle enthusiasts who are interested in participating in this event will need to do so by Friday, October 14th. Simply go online to www.seniorsampler.com and click on “Car Show” from the Senior Week drop down menu. Then click on the PDF Vehicle Entry Form.
